Identify as a person of color
High school junior in fall 2019 at a Pierce County high school
Actively involved and in your school and your community
Minimum 2.0 GPA
From a low-income family (generally determined by Free/Reduced Lunch eligibility; exceptions may apply)
Attend one to two events and/or trainings per month between spring semester junior year through the summer after graduating high school.
Maintain a 2.0 GPA
Maintain contact with Palmer Scholars staff & mentor throughout college
Complete semi-annual check-ins
Apply to additional outside scholarships
College readiness trainings
A mentor who provides 1-on-1 support
Up to $30,000 in financial assistance (minimum $1000 scholarship, $500 book stipend & $500 person expenses stipend each year of college)
"Palmer Cares" package valued at ~$500
